This is a branding design project that I completed as part of my course with The Graphic Design School. The brief was to create a full brand design for Frida Cantina, a cafe in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The cafe serves authentic Mexican street food with a focus on freshness, colour, flavour, and small tapas-sized dishes which diners can mix and match.
The cafe has an eclectic, busy and colourful feel, with an emphasis on Mexican art and symbolism, in particular on the life and works of Frida Kahlo as well as contemporary Mexican art and design.
The brand identity I have designed reflects this, drawing on Mexico’s culture, and colour whilst keeping the style fresh and modern, like the food.
